About Ed Coonce
Ed Coonce lives in Encinitas, California with Lucy, his wife of twenty-four years. Ed is an artist painting in the "day of the dead" style and is currently editing an anthology, The Adventures of El Pinche Reynoso, a series of satirical short stories. He is the author and illustrator of Gorilla Ballroom, Gorilla Riverdance, Gorilla Football, and Gorilla Latin Dance, a collection of short parodies. He is also editing The Noggin Chronicles, a satire exploring the idea of a cure for baldness. Excerpts of his work can be found on his online blog, bergenbugle.blogstream.com, and Ed will soon have his own website up and running. A Marine Vietnam vet (two tours, 1967-69), he is also writing his combat memoirs. He has worked as an archaeologist, a car salesman, and a graphic designer, and currently works as a safety administrator for a large commercial printer. He studied graphic design and painting at The Coronado School of Fine Art, creative writing and anthropology at San Diego State University, and is currently a member of Ransom Note Productions, a San Diego writers' workshop.
