UNTITLED ("One Morning...")

One morning—I awoke
To Find Death next—to Me
His dark Head lay, so very Close
To Where my Pillow be

He said, "hey baby—
What's your sign?"
I Looked at him, Aghast—!
Hesitant, I Told him That
I'm an Aquarius—

His Questions had not Stopped— quite yet—
He'd More to ask of Me—
I really Really really like
The Word "eternity"

He took my Hand— into his Own
I felt his icy Thumb
He asked Me— Why I never Can—
Create a perfect Rhyme

I told him i'm a Freakazoid—
But that my Way is Better—
He said some Deathly Words about
My Thin and Ghostly Sweater

He said It Was quite Lovely, then—
He leaned in— Slightly More
He mumbled Something— about what It
Would Look like on his Floor

All this Attention seemed To Be
Some cruel and horrid Satire—
If you do not know Why, go now
And Google Up my Picture!

Let's face it, Friends, and not Deny
I'm ug-ug-ug-ug-lay
A set of nostrils Big Enough
To scare e'en Death Away.
