Contests : Wergle Flomp Free Poetry Contest : Past Winners : 2008 : James Dorr
TO WEDNESDAY
See, see the gray-haired sky
Marvel at its big puce depths.
Tell me, Steve do you
Wonder why the squid ignores
you?
Why its foobly stare
makes you feel blah!.
I can tell you, it is
Worried by your brilxxl facial
growth
That looks like
A roast beef.
What's more, it knows
Your frugle potting shed
Smells of kiwi fruit.
Everything under the big
gray-haired sky
Asks why, why do you even
bother?
You only charm garlics.
Sent as a joke to JMW Publishing, this poem was a finalist in the 2008 Wergle Flomp humor poetry contest sponsored by Winning Writers.
