TO MY CABANA BOWL (TM)
Perhaps some day I will realize that you're no good for me Cabana Bowl (TM).
Every time I eat you, I curse my judgment soon after.
From outside my bathroom door you can hear me cry "Why do you forsake me, Cabana Bowl (TM)?"
But yet, at least twice a year I must dig into your delicious layers of rice, beans, cheese, beef or chicken, guacamole, sour cream, and, ah yes your juicy tomatoes.
All of this contained in an edible crunchy bowl that must have been deep fried in Shangrala.
I miss you even now Cabana Bowl (TM), even as the cramps hit my lower abdomin.
You, my beloved Bowl of... Cabana (TM), are like a night of mixing white russians and jaeger bombs,
Like Jefferson starship B-sides,
Like a blow job with teeth,
You are the Tex-mex epitome of extacy and pain.
Last night you started a class riot with the Cabernet Sauvignon already in my stomach and I love you for it.
You are a true intestinal revolutionary.
Viva la Cabana Bowl(TM)
Vaya con frijoles... --> --> -->

About Marty Lloyd
Marty Lloyd has been laughed out of more poetry readings than anyone cares to count and wears his ineptitude magnanimously. He's been featured in places, written things, and has been published in what-have-yous. But his greatest accomplishment to date is eating an entire package of jell-o with a straw. He is tall when compared to short people, short when compared to tall people, and stands eye to eye with people his own height. Marty is currently working on a novel, a screenplay, and the meaning of life. He suspects the last one will be easy.
