Contests : Wergle Flomp Free Poetry Contest : Past Winners : 2010
This year we made the contest wide open, no longer requiring that entries be pre-submitted to "vanity contests" as a joke. In response, entries surged over 2009 levels by a factor of three. This was by far our most competitive contest yet.
Congratulations to our 2010 prizewinners "Tabitha Bagatha", Wendy Waters, and Benjamin Taylor Lally, and to our 12 honorable mentions and 14 finalists. Their poems were judged the best out of the 2,751 entries we received. Cash prizes totaling $3,600 were awarded, and all prizewinners and honorable mentions received an official Winning Writers polo shirt.
